**Given:**

The length of the radius of a circle is 100% more than the length of a chord of that circle.

A = 616 m^{2}

**Concept used:**

A = π × R^{2}

Where A = area of circle

R = Radius of circle

π = 22/7

**Calculation: **

Let the length of chord be L

R = 100% more than L = 2 × L

A = π × R^{2}

⇒ 616 = (22/7) × R^{2}

⇒ R^{2} = 616 × 7/22 = 196

⇒ R = 14

R = 2L

⇒ L = R/2 = 7

**∴**** The length of the chord = 7m.**
